How do you currently apply this strategy, with or without the use of technology?
I provide my class with very clear guidelines for what we are going to do in class, but the more I am focusing on objectives, the more I realize I am really only giving them the schedule of what we are going to do, not the actual objectives about what they are going to learn. I know that at the end of each day a student should know the purpose of each class and I have to be committed to being more clear with this with all my students.
What new insights or ideas did you gain from the reading?
I have gone to an almost completely digital classroom and this has made feedback hard. In our district we use Zangle, so most of my feedback is found in the comments section of each assignment. I know I am providing the feedback my students need but I am not sure if they are actually reading what I am entering. I need to make them get the meaning from my feedback.
Some ideas:
Have students check Zangle in class on a daily or weekly basis (depending on the class) to read the comments that have been provided to them. By requiring this to be done in class, it will take the guess work out of if they are taking the feedback that I am giving.
Use more email and blogs or wikis for assignments so I can provide feedback directly to the students.

An example of the project was provided to the students along with a list of requirements
Here is the rubric I used to grade their presentations
How might you use this tool in your classroom?
I could create rubrics for my students that are detailed and exact for each assignment.
By making them available to my students online through my wiki or blog, they can know they exact requirements for each project. Since I do mostly project based learning, this is a real tool that has a practical application for all my classes.
